\u201eTales from the Curve\u201c have been around since 1996<\/strong>. The online motorcycle culture took place in newsgroups, but mainly in the forum of the german magazine MOTORRAD. I regularly published my stories as JvS<\/strong> (J<\/strong>\u00fcrgen v<\/strong>om S<\/strong>tilfserjoch) there, and over the years numerous friendships developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1999<\/strong> I finished a training as a media designer and created my first website with a selection of my texts \u2013 www.theiner.net. In summer of 2000<\/strong>, I used this site to promote the \u201eRitten Race Days\u201c\u00a0\u2013 a motorcycle meeting that I organised four times in the following years. After a creative break, I started working on my first blogpage in 2017<\/strong>. Intended as a trial balloon for a WordPress project, www.theiner.net\/blog developed into \u201eMotorProsa\u201c<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 with logo and slogan. With my prose about (mainly) motorcycles and (sideshow) convertibles, I ventured into the illustrious round of german speaking motorcycle blogs in 2019<\/strong>. My texts became stories, my pictures became photos, the site became better known through complementary Facebook<\/a>– and LinkedIn<\/a>-profiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the medium term, MotorProsa is to become a popular website in the motor industry \u2013 and beyond \u2013 with a respectable reach. I offer my content in English and German.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Profile
 & Conception<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

MotorProsa as a niche blog describes the fascination \u201emotor\u201c<\/strong>, whether in a motorcycle or a car, whether as a combustion engine or electric, in words and pictures \u2013 emotionally and humorously. The focus is on inspiration and strolling thoughts. MotorProsa is mainly written on the mountain roads of South Tyrol and the surrounding area. Travel reports mainly cover the south of France. Tests of vehicles, accessories and clothing can supplement, but are not the focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MotorProsa tries to live the topics of mobility, motorcycling and fun on the road according to \u201e<\/strong>Cooperation instead of confrontation\u201c<\/strong><\/strong>. The content is intended to promote the positive image of motorcyclists in off- and online society. Actions that do not serve this purpose are carried out as secretly as possible \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since March 2020, my texts are also available as a book. Motorprosa – Geschichten aus der Kurve<\/strong> is published by Books on Demand<\/a> and tells my motorcycle story from the beginnings with the rickety Piaggio Ciao to the journeys with the heavy Harley-Davidson<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooperation
& Costs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

MotorProsa has so far been a part-time non-profit one-man event. There is a close cooperation with photographer Uli Biggemann from www.moppetfoto.de<\/a><\/strong> – the result are portraits of mountain roads and insider stories that are printed in major German motorcycle magazines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooperation requests of all kinds from companies in the motor industry \u2013 if they fit in with the contents and principles of MotorProsa \u2013 are gladly evaluated and accepted. Cooperations must at least cover costs for MotorProsa. Financial contributions to cover running costs will not be rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Software
 & Technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

MotorProsa runs on WordPress, uses a customized GeneratePress theme and is hosted by webkeeper.ch. The photos are \u2013 unless otherwise indicated \u2013 created and edited by myself. Photography is done with a Canon EOS R6 \/ RP \/ M5 and an iPhone, for image processing and media management Adobe Creative Cloud is used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accesses
 & Reach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

www.motorprosa.com went live in April 2019<\/strong>. Since 01.01.2023, the DSGVO-compatible plug-in Matomo has been recording accesses: by May 2023, 25,000 visits and 58,000 page views had been counted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MotorProsa Facebook page<\/strong><\/a> had around 1,900 subscribers at the beginning of March 2025 and reaches an average of 15,000 people a month. Every week, a post is published on Facebook on #MotorprosaWednesday<\/strong> and shared in over 20 groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
